Elizabeth Wallace

Elizabeth Wallace is mentioned on the 1911 census, as head of the household, at 22 Wood Street, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

It mentions her husband is away, and she has been married for 32 years. She is 'inable to work supported by my children.' She was aged 50 years.

Elizabeth was born in Hartfield, Sussex.

She has two grandchildren staying with her, on the night of the census. They are: John Wilfred Wallace, aged 8 years, and born in Burwash, Sussex and Winifred Mary Wallace, aged 6 years, and also born in Burwash, Sussex

John Wilfred Wallis married Edna May Rowe

John Wilfred Wallis married Edna May Rowe were married on the 9th. July, 1935. They were living at 18 Stangate Street, North Lambeth.

Winifred Mary Wallace

I have a copy of a marriage certificate for Winifred Mary Wallace, which I think is John's sister, but Wallace spelt wrong!

She married Gilbert George Mills, in the Parish Church of Willesborough, in the County of Kent, on the 11th. November, 1922. She was aged 18 years, and he 21 years. Gilbert George Mills was a builder, and lived at 33 Silver Hill, Willesborough. His father's name was Philip James Mills, and he was a farmer. Winifred Mary Wallace was also living at 33 Silver Hill, Willesborough, and her father was John Wallace, who was a Gamekeeper.

The witnesses were: Leslie Mills and Thomas Drurley.
